Test Lead – DIPA

POSITION:

We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual for this challenging position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to organise all testing activities during each stage of the test process, as well as co-ordinate with senior management on testing strategy. The role will involve creating a tangible impact on the business by developing test scripts to ensure that our software performs at an optimal level prior to customer release.

This role involves working on a variety of projects, making sure that our delivered solutions are performing for our customers as expected – using the latest development tools. The nature of our work requires excellent communication skills and an enthusiastic approach to problem solving and team work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the management, reporting and tracking of test phases
• Accountable for the creation and execution of manual / automated test suites covering system, assembly, integration, regression and NFR testing
• Input to and creation of test strategies and test plans to support customer project and product software deliveries
• Oversee design and execution of test scripts that provide testing coverage of new and modified functionality along with regression testing within the software development lifecycle
• Managing the daily workload of Testers and giving direction on projects
• Working with the offshore delivery team
• Mentoring and training of internal team members
• Defect management and reporting – Communicating defect issues to PMO and back to client upon request
• Point of contact for the Client in relation to testing activity
• Communicating all test issues effectively and executing procedures to arrive at the suitable fix
• Support client acceptance testing defect management and release processes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Software testing experience
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience of Test Management tools (VSTS, HP Quality Centre etc.)
• Strong understanding of different testing techniques and approaches
• Strong time management skills with a history of meeting commitments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Formal documentation creation
• Demonstrable experience in managing/leading the QA element of software development projects using Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

Desirable:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Testing of Web and development applications
• Experience of Test Analysis, Test Design, Execution and Defect Management
• ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Testing
• Knowledge of Automation Frameworks and
• Experience with Angular, SQL, JAVA, Enterprise Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, .NET and C#.
