The Role:

The Communications team is responsible for building and maintaining a platform to connect with and engage our users through email, sms and push notifications. We support key stakeholders including Marketing and Customer Service, helping them grow our business and provide a great customer experience.

DailyPay is growing fast and our systems need to scale along with it. You’ll be working alongside other great engineers, product managers and UX designers in a fast-paced environment to revolutionise how employees get paid. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a technical leader within the team. You will own challenging problems, be a key contributor to the team’s architecture & designs, lead the way during development and be an advocate for code quality and high standards.

What You Bring to The Team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years hands on software development experience
• Experience working on an agile team
• Demonstrated proficiency writing maintainable, high quality, robust code in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C++, C#, Go, Python, Javascript, or similar
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience mentoring more junior engineers

Desired Criteria:

• Experience with relational databases like MySQL, Postgres, etc.
• Experience with NoSQL database technologies e.g. Cassandra, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Redis, etc
• Understanding of Agile or Kanban / Lean software development methodologies
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

Pay Transparency. DailyPay takes a market-based approach to compensation, which may vary depending on your location. Additionally, this role may be eligible for variable incentive compensation in addition to stock options. Where a candidate fits within the compensation range for a role is based on their demonstrated experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity.

Belfast Compensation Range

£55,000—£72,000 GBP
