Job Description

The Card Acceptance team at Mangopay is responsible for the infrastructure and business of online card acceptance. Our mission is to restructure and create the new infrastructure that is going to fuel the growth of Mangopay in the coming years. The delivery of the best possible card acceptance is a critical mission due to the central role card acquiring has in e-commerce.

Mission

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager directly reporting to the Lead of Cards Product to our Visa and Mastercard processor engine and related services in the scope of Card Acceptance. You will be responsible for complementing our core processing capabilities, create an authorization platform, implement our settlement and interchange calculation and help to build the engine of Mangopay growth. This role is an exciting combination of leadership, strategic vision, steering and delivery of the roadmap, and management.

What will you being doing?

• Work on the creation of the Card Scheme authorization, clearing and settlement platform
• Support the team in the creation of the interchange and scheme fee forecasting engine that supports our pricing capabilities.
• Work with the Card Processing team to devise joint products that elevate our core processing capability beyond the competition
• Be responsible for the implementation of the products that you envisage and ensure its appropriate go to market in join collaboration with the other members of the Mangopay team
• Be a known leader for online card payments, with in-depth experience and knowledge of acquiring, authorisation, tokenization, authentication, orchestration
• Actively engage to identify the needs and challenges of our clients and turn them into added value for our cards offering
• Be data driven – use qualitative and quantitative insights to determine the right prioritization
• Drive roadmap execution through OKRs
• Establish metrics, processes and dashboards for monitoring and evaluating the performance and success of the product and its features

What we would love to see:

• 5+ years experience in Product Management
• 5+ years experience in Fintech; you are familiar with the latest trends and developments in the card payments space. You are able to call out the difference between an Acquirer and an Acquirer processor.
• Expert knowledge of Interchange, Scheme fees and how those relate to the good function of an acquiring platform.
• Expert knowledge of multiple products in the card acquiring chain.
• Experience working with payment partners to drive value and scale
• Experience working with APIs, front-end and back-end engineers, UX, Compliance, Legal, Billing
• Ownership and Leadership: you are able to form a vision and work with product, engineering and various stakeholders to turn that vision into life
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a broad range of technical and business audiences in a simple and compelling way
• You like to get things done and are able to keep the ball rolling on your field or your stakeholder’s one, sense of urgency and bias for action are familiar terms for you.
