Cognizant is looking for a Data Engineer to provide database engineering and data delivery to support during application development. This full-time Data Engineer hybrid role is based in London and offers an attractive salary and benefits package.
As a Data Engineer, you will ingest, cleanse and collate data from a wide range of internal and external sources. You’ll also build analytical models to support reporting and analytics and create reports and analytics.
In your first week in this Data Engineer role, you can expect to:
- Architect, design, cost and plan solutions that will support delivery teams as those solutions are implemented into live services
- Gather business requirements, perform detailed analysis, and produce associated functional specifications across multiple functions
- Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through an in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommend solutions
- Liaise between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in co-ordination with the Technology team.

- Experience with structured and unstructured data
- Experience combining qualitative and quantitative datasets
- Experience in either programming languages such as Python or R, data
- Visualization tools such as Tableau
- Experience working with large datasets.
