Job Description

People Consulting is a key part of KPMG’s Management Consulting practice. We help transform the performance of organisations by changing the way people are led, managed, and developed. We do this by focusing on two key areas – delivering clients people agenda`s on large scale, complex, transformational change programmes and transforming the HR function.

The Infrastructure, Government and Healthcare (IGH) team within People Consulting work in five main market areas: Government and Justice, Transport and Infrastructure, Higher Education, Health and Social Care, and Local Government. Our purpose is to lead transformation for and with people, and to make a positive impact for clients and citizens.

Our work is incredibly varied and on a day-to-day basis your work could cover:

  • Leading team(s) of consultants and client engagements
  • Providing specialist advice and working closely with client leads and team members to successfully deliver project outcomes
  • Leading business development and sales, working with account teams to proactively scope opportunities and developing compelling proposals to generate new opportunities and work
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert on a range of people related topics and disciplines, and contributing to the development of methods, tools and thought leadership.

We are seeking an individual to manage and deliver workstreams on client engagements, with experience of leading the change management on major technology-enabled transformation programmes.

Experience And Background

Essential:

  • Knowledge and experience of change strategy development, change impact assessments and change plan development
  • Experience of designing change initiatives and working with a network of change managers to manage change through multi-phase/ multi-year programmes
  • Change management for technology-enabled change across complex organisations with multiple entities that have different cultures and requirements
  • Implementation experience is as important as strategy and planning expertise
  • Strong track record of taking responsibility for and creating high quality deliverables that contribute to the success of a project and enable change
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and management skills (including writing communications)
  • Demonstrable experience working with Executive and senior leaders as well as across project teams
  • Experience of leading teams across a range of engagements
  • Demonstrate continuous learning and a passion for your discipline

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with organisations from at least one of the IGH market areas outlined above
  • Knowledge and experience of working with change methodologies, tools and templates so can quickly get familiar with KPMG approaches
  • Experience of change management for ERP implementations for one or more major technology supplier (Oracle, Workday, SAP, MBS)
  • Experience of developing business in a management consulting environment

Qualifications And Skills

No specific qualifications are required. Skills important to this role are:

  • Project and team management
  • Client relationship building for effective delivery and business development
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment including taking initiative in ambiguous and fluid situations
  • Willingness to travel and work at locations across the UK as required. Location expected to be a mix of client site, KPMG office and virtual.
  • Hold Security Clearance or be able to obtain clearance when you join us.
