The Peer Review Performance Coordinator supports peer review performance across a segment of the Research Publishing journal portfolio. The Peer Review Performance Coordinator will support performance optimization of journals to ensure adherence to best practices, implement change initiatives, and promote a positive author experience at all points in the author lifecycle.

How you will make an impact:

  • Supporting day-to-day management of the peer review and Journal Editorial Office services via a team inbox
  • Supporting the evaluation of editor and admin performance across journals in the portfolio
  • Supporting the alignment of journals toward continuous improvement, workflow optimization, and adoption of peer review best practices and standards
  • Supporting and monitoring value-add strategies and tactics associated with the delivery of a rendered decision, including such themes as speed to decision, quality of author experience, and integrity of manuscript and workflows that underpin the peer review process.
  • Supporting key business priority project work in a collaborative team.

We are looking for people who:

  • Are organized, data literate and able to quickly adapt to new systems and platforms.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Are proficient with MS Office (esp. Excel; Outlook)
  • Are self-motivated, able to work independently, prioritize and make decisions within given parameters
  • Can work cooperatively with others in the team and across the organization to achieve shared objectives
  • Are persistent in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks
  • Project management experience would be beneficial.
