Trustmarque
Reporting to the COO, the Head of Data will lead and manage data related activities across Trustmarque Group to ensure data is available, of a high quality, relevant, accurate and reliable, and is leveraged to drive business outcomes.
Working across Trustmarque’s business, the Head of Data will define a vision for data and analytics, will provide stewardship to ensure clean and consistent data, and will use best practice architecture and design to help achieve consistent and strategic structure, use and understanding of information throughout our organisation.
By applying best practice analysis techniques and processes, you will enable us to exploit our data and business intelligence to add value to our business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Proactive leadership and accountability for all data, data operations and data analytics activity across Trustmarque, transforming our data and information into insights that inform a high-level strategy and tactical decision-making in support of profitability objectives
- Act as an expert strategic advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and other key executives for all aspects of data and analytics and champion the development of a data-driven culture at Trustmarque
- Definition, publication and maintenance of a data strategy and architecture and a fit for purpose data governance framework
- Drive business value by leveraging data analytics to facilitate more informed decision-making, optimise customer experiences, and uncover potential opportunities.
- Establish and lead a (virtual) team that executes the data governance framework, builds new data solutions and productionises business developed data solutions, and enabling a self-service data environment for business colleagues.
- Ensure stewardship of data, and address resolve challenges with data integrity, quality, and security within the organisation.
- Troubleshoot data issues, facilitate the issue/root cause determination, develop solution options and work with required teams to implement the fix.
- Develop tools and dashboards to track the health and quality of data, identifying and recommending opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements.
- Support other key business and IT projects as the data lead.
What we are looking for:
- Experience delivering technology and data initiatives at large multi-business unit organisations. Direct experience developing technology and data strategies in the IT Services and Products industry.
- Data Analysis: High proficiency in the key principles and activities across major data and analytics functional areas (Architecture, Governance, Reporting, Analytics etc)
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to effectively work with diverse stakeholders, to define and convey complex technical details and data insights and drive decision making into clear, commercially relevant recommendations
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify challenges, develop hypotheses, and propose data-driven solutions. This involves critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to think analytically.
- Business Acumen: Understanding sales, ecommerce, financial, operational and service delivery processes, marketing strategies, and business objectives is important to contextualize and interpret sales data accurately.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge and familiarity with data analysis and visualisation technologies within the Microsoft Fabric and Azure ecosystem as well as legacy systems such as Excel, Qlikview along with core CRM and ERP systems such as Hubspot and MS Dynamics as well as new platforms suitable for the future growth of the organisation
- Managing Change: Proven track record in delivering change and managing delivery and technical risk to ensure successful outcomes. Maturity to participate in multiple complex programs at the same time in an agile environment.
- Team Development: Demonstrable experience in building and leading direct or virtual data analytics and reporting teams.
