As a member of the Global Procurement Category team, Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager – IT is focused on execution of sourcing strategies to deliver on category strategy as well as end to end delivery of sourcing and supplier management initiatives delivering value from category spend and supplier eco-system. This follows up with core accountabilities around contract implementation with the business, benefits tracking and assurance over holistic value delivery from negotiated contracts and appointed strategic suppliers.
Apart from key accountability around managing strategic sourcing and supplier management the role is also expected to lead discovery of open opportunities within assigned spend and / or geography and look for strategic value added from key Partners. Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Manager is also expected to actively contribute to short and mid-term procurement activities plan for assigned category / geography in scope , as well as through existing market and business knowledge to provide inputs to long term category strategy covering financial and non-financial benefits (process efficiencies, ESG, risk and controls, compliance etc).

Your responsibilities:
- Deliver state of the art execution of Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management process within assigned portfolio, leading to breakthrough results for the business and external partners
- Use a broad array of approaches and techniques to negotiate with suppliers in an ethical manner, to ensure business requirements and procurement objectives are met or exceeded.
- Responsible for managing appropriate supplier relationship programmes with key suppliers.
- Understand JM Group and SBU strategies and how it impacts JM Procurement.
- Develop and keep strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels to understand Procurements objectives with the business’ needs, to align on a course of action.
- Specifically, understand the strategy to best support their customer, procurement, and suppliers. Be a co-pilot in shaping the decisions of the allocated portfolio spend.
Requirements for the role:
- Extensive experience in successfully leading and conducting the negotiation of contracts across technical, commercial, and legal areas.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
- Ability to facilitate multiple activities at any one time, and effectively communicate current positions.
- Ability to balance total cost of ownership (TCO), strategic and tactical delivery.
- Graduate qualification (ideally master’s degree educated), (and/or) proven strategic sourcing and supplier management experience in Automotive, FMCG and/or Chemical procurement of at least 5 years
