As a result of a succession plan, we are seeking a replacement for the Global Sales & Business Development Manager position for the Business Units Coatings, Adhesives, and Sealants.
Tasks
- Involved in the development of the global BU strategy
- Develops new opportunities for global key accounts with focus on technical application development
- Cooperates with BU Leader, Product Managers and Technical Service Managers to establish targets for product development and growth initiatives
- Monitoring of market, customer segments and competition
- Relationship management with key customers and opinion leaders
- Leads large scale development initiatives by gathering market intelligence data, formulates product positioning and recommend commercialization of products
- Oversees large market development to expand into new areas
- Participating in technical and commercial conferences and contributing product PR articles to the relevant press
- Manage distribution networks in all regions to secure profitable growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry
- Min. 8 years technical application engineering or R&D experience in the paint, coatings or adhesives area
- Experienced in Sales and Business Development, with a focus in leading customers and key accounts projects within the polymer industry, ideally with a focus on coatings
- Used to communicate across various hierarchic and functional levels
- Willing for worldwide travelling (approx. 40%), based in Europe
- Business fluent in English (verbal and oral)
