Freelance Events Marketing Manager – Remote

Events and webinars make up an important part of our program in the UK. We’re seeking an experienced Event Specialist to take our events program in the UK to the next level.

Reporting to the UK Brand & Content Lead, this role will build on the success of our current events program. You will use your skills and experience to manage small to large scale events in the UK, whether that be in-person, hybrid or online. 

A true team player, this individual will be collaborative and never be short of creative and innovative event ideas.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and deliver against the broader event strategy to ensure all events strategically target existing and/or prospective customers.
• Own the end-to-end execution of events in the UK, including online, hybrid, and in-person.
• Run and manage event projects against budgets and timelines.
• Build a community of engaged and active event participants in the UK – made up of industry partners, prospects and existing customers.
• Work closely with the UK Brand and Content team, and design team to ensure events are consistent with content themes and that event collateral is designed to brand guidelines.
• Work closely with the UK Growth Marketing team to maximise Employment Hero’s reach and presence at third party events through sponsorships and partnerships.
• Work closely with Employment Hero’s sales, partnerships, marketing and product teams for event deliverables. 
• Build strong event relationships with industry organisations and event suppliers in the UK. 
• Report on event effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement or optimisation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years event management experience.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience in running events end to end in the UK.
• An understanding of the UK event market.
• Confident with Zoom and other online webinar and events technology. 
• Proven project and logistics management skills with an ability to prioritise and delegate tasks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Experience working with industry organisations and third party suppliers.
• Experience in acquiring and working with guest speakers.
• Comfortable conducting site inspections and attending in-person events (some UK travel may be necessary).
