The Finance Manager will be instrumental in empowering our operations teams to execute and deliver ambitious growth plans, providing valuable insight and visibility into the core operations of our Total Coffee Company business. This role presents a fantastic opportunity within the Operations finance team as we work to support our equity store network in driving profitability and growth.

A bit about the role…
This role is a part of the equity finance operations team, a respected core finance business partner to the UK&I Operations teams across our c1,500 equity stores. Responsible for driving store performance in three regions and being the team expert in gross margin performance across all Stores. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Business partnering and leading commercial support to the Regional team, providing timely and actionable insight, commentary, and challenge to deliver overall P&L in line with agreed targets.
- Delivering meaningful and actionable financial insight with commentary to communicate the trends and challenges facing the UK business, driving performance forward.
- Supporting the Monthly/Quarterly business review process between operations finance managers and regional directors.
- Reviewing periodic performance to identify key risks and opportunities on the P&L.
- Supporting the annual budget and forecasting processes, providing necessary key inputs and planning for specific areas including waste and COGS targets by store.
- Being the contact point for three Regional Directors and their area managers on financial matters, collaborating to balance short and medium-term goals.
- Enabling improved engagement with store managers and area managers on Financial Reporting to drive greater understanding of profit performance and support enhanced action planning for growth plans. This includes regular store/area visits and training sessions.
- Leading and owning store P&L reporting and its integrity.

- Qualified (ACMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Excellent Excel skills, including reporting, modelling, and forecasting, IT systems literacy (D365, PowerBI, TM1)

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly to all levels
- Ability to successfully manage direct re ports, ensuring their growth and development within Costa is supported and nurtured
- Ability to work independently, anticipating the needs of senior stakeholders
- Experience working in fast-paced commercial finance customer-facing organization
- Significant experience in the finance team of a multi-site blue-chip retailer/FMCG
- Proven track record in analysis, including operational P&L lines, and excellent business partnering with other functions
