We are looking for a dedicated Workday Financial Business Analyst to optimise our financial management systems and enhance processes. You’ll play a key role in configuring and maintaining our Workday Financials suite to align with our financial goals. This position demands a deep understanding of finance, sharp analytical abilities, and the knack for translating complex financial needs into Workday solutions. We’re in the process of implementing Workday HCM and Financials, and this role will play a pivotal part in defining business requirements. You’ll support our finance team in optimizing Workday functionality, with a focus on the financials module. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to train and integrate Workday knowledge into our support team for ongoing operations.

Job responsibilities:

• Analyse and document current financial processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains within Workday Financials.
• Serve as a liaison between the finance department, IT and the implementation partners to ensure Workday Financials meets the evolving needs of the business.
• Configure and maintain Workday Financial modules including, but not limited to, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Assets, and Projects.
• Gather detailed requirements for system enhancements and translate them into functional specifications for Workday Financials.
• Design, implement, and test custom reports, dashboards, and financial processes within Workday.
• Manage Workday Financials data to ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
• Conduct end-user training sessions and create user guides and documentation to support Workday Financials applications.
• Stay updated with Workday Financials releases and assess their impact on current and future business processes.
• Support the finance team during financial closing periods, ensuring that Workday Financials functions seamlessly to meet reporting timelines.
• Collaborate with the IT department to ensure proper integration of Workday Financials with other systems and databases within the organisation.
• Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and manage user access and security in alignment with financial compliance standards.

Your professional qualities:

• Proven experience with Workday Financials as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, processes, and best practices.
• Expertise in Workday Financials configuration, reporting, and business process design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
• Effective communication skills with the aptitude to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Workday Financials certification is preferred.
• Experience with data privacy and financial compliance regulations.
