Description

We are currently recruiting for a new Senior Outreach and Link Building Specialist to join our team.

Are you a passionate outreach expert with a knack for building relationships and generating industry-leading coverage? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and innovation are key? If so, we want to hear from you!

In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal role in our Outreach department, spearheading outreach campaigns to secure high-quality backlinks for clients across diverse sectors like iGaming, finance, B2B, and travel.

You will leverage your expertise to identify new opportunities, craft compelling pitches, and nurture relationships with key contacts. As a Senior Lead, you will also guide and support fellow Outreachers, fostering their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

Become an Outreach Guru:

  • Conduct in-depth research to discover relevant publications and websites aligned with client needs.
  • Develop strategic outreach campaigns to secure placements across a variety of media outlets and locations.
  • Collaborate closely with the content team to generate newsworthy and link-worthy content ideas.
  • Utilise your negotiation skills to secure placements within budget parameters.
  • Continuously monitor and analyse campaign performance, optimising strategies for maximum success.

Lead And Empower Your Teammates

  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to your direct report, helping them achieve their weekly and monthly goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and transparent environment, conducting regular one-on-one meetings and setting SMART goals for development.
  • Participate in performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help your team member reach their full potential.
  • Champion open communication and keep the Outreach Manager informed of progress and any roadblocks.

Be An Account Lead & Client Champion

  • Take ownership of assigned client accounts, ensuring we deliver on outreach objectives within the designated timeframe.
  • Partner with Account Managers to understand client requirements and secure approvals before campaign launch.
  • Provide transparent updates throughout the month, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and potential challenges.
  • Analyse link metrics and ensure placements meet client needs, proactively communicating any rejected links with explanations or alternative recommendations.
  • Monitor third-party budgets and proactively address any potential overspending risks.
  • Actively participate in both team and client meetings, presenting insights, demonstrating your expertise, and addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Involvement in QSR & KAM Planning sessions for allocated clients, understanding and contributing to outreach strategies and opportunities.
  • Contribute time each month to assigned agency marketing plan and growth team activities e.g. newsletters, blog posts, client development plans.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Link diversity: Ensuring that the target is met for the number of new sites found each month
  • Third-party spend: Ensuring that 3rd party spend is on or below target through effective negotiation skills and tactics
  • Deadline adherence: All deliverables are on time for both soft and hard deadlines
  • Outreach effectiveness & success: Maintaining a successful open rate, testing outreach techniques to secure link placements, and demonstrating success of live links from outreach activity.

Essential Skills

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience within SEO or digital marketing, particularly in outreach link-building.
  • Line management experience
  • A knack for crafting compelling and persuasive written communication.
  • Proficiency in using outreach tools (e.g., Outplay).
  • Strong research, negotiation, and networking abilities.
  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to establish and track measurable goals.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools for crafting effective outreach emails (a plus!).

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in digital PR campaigns
  • Experience in SEO or content production/optimisation
  • Previous agency experience or ability to present and communicate to relevant stakeholders
  • Understanding of digital marketing tools Ahrefs, SEMrush and Google Search Console.
