Description
This position is with the Global Strategic Communications Council (GSCC), a global network of communications professionals in the field of climate, energy and nature. GSCC is a programme hosted by the Meliore Foundation.
We’re looking for an innovative Digital Assistant, FNCD with a unique combination of skills who wants to play a major role in tackling climate change. We’re looking for an individual with a thirst for digital engagement to help us reach our audiences.
You’ll be joining our Food and Nature team, a small but ambitious team in the GSCC. Our team’s mission is to put food and nature at the heart of the global climate debate. These sectors are often overlooked by the climate community, and yet we cannot deliver a safer and more secure world without climate action on them.
The role will support our growing and successful deployment of digital campaigns across issues relating to voluntary carbon markets, paying to protect nature, supporting nature friendly farming and addressing emissions from livestock.
The role will report to the Associate in the Food and Nature team.

How You’ll Contribute
Supporting colleagues from our Food and Nature team to implement and report on digital campaigns including:
- Under guidance from the Topic Lead, posting content on a variety of social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and X.
- Setting up ads on social media platforms and search engines.
- Writing copy for graphics, videos and websites and producing video content.
- Helping to organise message testing and digital metrics to assess which content is performing best.
- Producing campaign reports.
- Completing research tasks such as social listening and media monitoring.
- Administrative tasks such as agenda setting, note taking, maintaining databases, account management for different tools.
Our ideal candidate has
- A first professional experience in digital marketing or digital campaigning.
- Familiarity with digital metrics.
- An eye for design and familiarity with content creation tools.
- The passion and creativity required to experiment constantly.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, our working language; additional languages are an asset.
- A genuine interest in and passion for addressing climate change.
- The disposition to work generously with colleagues in a high-trust global community of peers.
- The versatile and adaptable skills necessary to flourish in a fast-paced and wide-ranging work environment and work across time zones using tools such as Zoom, Slack and email (Google Workspace).
