Job Summary

As a Cybersecurity Intern at Nume, you will play a crucial role in protecting and securing our digital health platforms. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on projects that directly contribute to improving health globally by ensuring the security and privacy of sensitive health data. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, contributing to our mission of providing safe and secure digital health solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures to safeguard our digital health platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to identify security vulnerabilities and develop strategies to address them.
  • Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents, contributing to timely and effective incident response.
  • Participate in risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to the integration of new security technologies and frameworks that enhance our digital services and user experience.
  • Support the troubleshooting and resolution of security-related issues, improving the reliability and performance of our platforms.
  • Engage in continuous learning to improve your cybersecurity skills and stay updated with the latest industry trends and threats.
  • Assist in secure coding practices and the review of code for security vulnerabilities.
  • Utilize cybersecurity tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Snort, and Kali Linux to perform security assessments and testing.
  • Work with version control systems like Git for secure code management.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and a passion for technology.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption).
  • Understanding of network security, application security, and threat modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
