We serve every member of the veterinary community with support services including: vet tech students, veterinary students, support staff, vet techs, and veterinarians. About the Position:

TheDevelopment & Communications Coordinator is passionate about the mission of NOMV and able to share our message to donors, community and all stakeholders. The position is responsible for supporting strategies for NOMV fundraising and marketing efforts and executing comprehensive plans to sustain and increase revenue. In addition, the position is responsible for the building and managing the NOMV brand and marketing communications in order to raise awareness. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Co-Develop comprehensive fundraising and marketing plans and objectives in collaboration with the team to include: 
    • Regular evaluation of the campaigns and activities 
    • Donor stewardship and retention
    • Individual, corporate, foundation, government or other fundraising opportunities
    • Planned giving and endowment activities
    • Fund development events 
    • Calendar of activities to manage marketing and fundraising activities
  • Research potential partnerships and strategic alliances to increase NOMV’s brand recognition and increase revenues. 
  • Identify and research prospects for major and planned gifting opportunities, including, developing an individual giving campaign, stocks and other assets, etc. 
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to support major donors and corporate sponsors.
  • Collaborate and support all major fundraising events.  
  • Responsible for ensuring the CRM management to track donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
  • Create, produce and distribute marketing materials such as press releases, newsletters, and publications, and ensure the consistent use of branding across programs and activities in collaboration with the Directors and other team members.
  • Create and coordinate social media posts
  • Coordinate and execute timely and appropriate recognition of donors. 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum year 4 years work experience in nonprofit fundraising and marketing. 
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working with volunteer leadership in a nonprofit organization.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Google Suite is highly desired.
  • Experience with Salesforce nonprofit is highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of fund development and communications.
  • Must be willing and able to work from home.
  • Background working in the mental health field is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree highly desired.
