Humanitarian Quality Assurance Initiative
Assist the current IT Manager, on the management of the day to day tasks, and more specifically as listed below:
Tasks & Responsibilities
1) IT infrastructure / hardware / software – support
o Provide technical support at the user level and ensure the optimal running of IT systems.
o Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, contribute to the administration and implementation of IT and digital policies.
o Ensure the proper functioning of IT systems (installation and control);
o Ensure the maintenance (preventive and corrective) of IT infrastructure (efficiency, quality, security, organisation); liaise with service providers as needed
o Deploy, configure, and update the workstations of the team (including software as requested)
o Independently solve – or ensure third-party resolution – of IT problems
o Detect recurring problems and propose possible improvements to the manager
o Manage stocks and orders of materials
o Provide expertise and ensure management, upgrade and troubleshooting of existing and future software i.e. Office 365, Calendars, Virus barrier
o Train/inform employees on the use of the equipment in place and new tools deployed (phone support, tutorials)
o Ensure regular reporting on IT systems
o Ensure the governing documentation of the new projects as per the recommendations of the latest report.
2) Cloud/ web/ e-mail
o Deploy, configure, and update the server/Cloud access of the team (50 persons)
o Timely and effectively troubleshoot Cloud issues (sinology cloud) as per the need of the organisation
o Uphold effective connectivity with website and e-mail servers, and liaise with external service providers
3) Data management support
o Support in testing the tailored made Internal management System.
o Advise on improvements on a multi optional improvement plan on upgrade
o Prepare documentation and guide for IT construction component
o Prepare user guide for Internal management system use
Deliverables
• Answer the helpdesk request and manage issues under 24 hours limit.
• Produce the documentation as requested on the TOR
• Report incoherences, recurrent issues and advice on the same, on regular bases (biweekly or monthly)
Qualifications
i. Min of 2 years’ experience as an IT generalist.
ii. Tech-savvy with a natural interest in IT tools and developments.
iii. Experience in Nonprofit desirable
iv. Good organisational skills with reliable attention to details.
v. Work independently and take initiative.
vi. Experience in Nonprofit is a plus.
vii. Knowledge of PC and Mac environment
viii. Fluent in written and spoken English and French.
