Körber Supply Chain

As an outgoing, dynamic, inquisitive individual who thrives on winning that next sale, you will achieve sales targets by targeting and selling to new logo customers the Körber Supply Chain products and services portfolio.

Taking an active role in the sales team you will attend regular sales meetings with customers, internal sales, and solutions delivery teams. You will be expected to identify customer pain points, present solutions, and prepare sales proposals. You will use Salesforce CRM database to record all sales activity and maintain current information on your customers.

You will represent the customers’ interests, working across the internal teams, ensuring that all relevant departments share, understand and support the New Business Account Strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the assigned revenue and profit margin targets through sales to New Customers.
  • Create Strategic Account Selling plans for a defined group of Target Customers to sell products and services.
  • Work with Lead Generation team to identify new business opportunities by understanding your target customers’ strategies and presenting relevant solutions to C level contacts.
  • Manage business relationships with customers, representing their interests within the business and representing Körber’s interests when customer-facing.
  • Seek out, develop, and nurture a network of executive level contacts across Operations, Distribution, Finance, IT departments within your target customers.
  • Maintain a high level of Körber solution knowledge to compete, when necessary, by understanding your customers’ strategy and your competitors’ weakness.

Experience And Qualifications

  • Relevant experience selling enterprise solutions in the supply chain, retail, and logistics industries.
  • Minimum 4 years sales experience with at least 2 years field based new business sales.
  • Degree in supply chain logistics or S.T.E.M. disciplines preferred.
  • Familiarity of Warehouse operational process and software systems, ERP, WMS, TMS, & OMS preferred.

Skills/Behaviours Required

  • Track-record of achieving sales targets.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of the consultative, solutions-led sales cycle.
  • Customer-oriented, with a passion for selling new things to new customers.
  • Ability to challenge prospects and lead the business agenda.
  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills, confident presentation skills and ability to construct logical, credible winning arguments linked to customer strategies.
  • Commercial awareness of ROI models, margin analysis & cost justification statements.
  • A positive, can-do approach to challenges and complexity.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Sales Force CRM.
  • A self-starter with an organised approach to work, good prioritisation / time management skills and a disciplined approach / methodology to managing and developing your prospects to successful close of new business.
