The Global Audit & Assurance department (Global A&A) is a multi-disciplinary, vibrant and dynamic department within BDO Global, with team members based in over 15 countries and is responsible for supporting over 35,000 professionals globally across BDO.
Due to the continuing increase in work within the department including enterprise level change Programmes, our Global A&A team is looking for a:
Executive Assistant (to Programme Executive team) – Global (Remote)

Location: UK/Europe (Remote with limited travel)
Job type: Full time/ 12/24 Month Fixed term – intention to extend
This role is in the Projects & Operations team within the Global A&A department, focused on our largest and most high profile Programme within Global A&A and the wider firm, and the Executive team that lead it.
As Executive Assistant to the Programme Executive team, you will provide professional, resourceful support, assisting them in managing the range of responsibilities they hold, particularly as they balance their roles as Executives on the Programme with continued operational delivery. They key requirements will be diary management and travel arrangements as well as supporting in the provision of information packs for management meetings and other related documents.
You are someone who is an experienced professional and comfortable working both as part of a team and also alone, taking responsibility for their own tasks. You are proactive and keen to collaborate with others, communicating regularly with internal and external key stakeholders at all levels.
This position will be remote (as are the majority of Global A&A), with limited travel to BDO office locations globally as required.
In this role you will:
- Develop a strong working relationship with the Executive team, quickly understanding their roles and responsibilities, their personal styles and approaches as well as the company’s culture
- Managing complex diary management across multiple time zones
- Planning and managing complex travel arrangements with awareness of Executives priorities and preferences
- Proactively planning and following up from key meetings
- Acting as an effective and appropriate conduit of information and communication between the Executives and the wider team of colleagues, appropriately representing the Executives voices and messaging
- Working as part of a small team as part of the Projects & Operations, managing key internal Board or Programme related events and assisting other Executives and senior team members during periods of staff absence.
- Creation of various documents including Word and PowerPoint materials for circulation to leadership
Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior PA or EA experience for an executive team, ideally in a professional services environment but certainly with highly educated professional colleagues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with fluent written English
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and well organised; constantly thinking ahead
- Able to manage multiple activities for different people under time pressure; able to flex to different working styles and personalities
- Calm, personable and diplomatic
- Able to balance high levels of discretion with a warm, trusting and collaborative style
- Demonstrate the ability to balance priorities among competing needs whilst providing the highest level of value to BDO
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to influence and drive other team members, and to engage effectively with senior stakeholders
