The Business Consultancy function is a vital component of the Quilter Financial Planning Network. Since its establishment, we have evolved into a cohesive team of professionals, committed to providing bespoke consultancy support to aid advice firms in managing their businesses effectively.

About You

Experience:
- You should have a strong business acumen, ideally with experience of delivering commercial outcomes personally. For example, helping to run a business or worked closely with those in this position.
- Prior experience in a consultancy/sales management/training and development/supervisory role, preferably within the financial planning or advisory sector.
- Familiarity with the advisory lifecycle and the challenges faced by advice firms can be beneficial.
Skills:
- You must be strong presenter and be able to present both online, in person in small groups and on main stage conferences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead advice firms through consultancy modules and to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Leadership/management/development guidance skills of the servicing and operational aspects of an advice-based firm.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are critical to build strong, trusting relationships quickly.
- We expect successful candidates to have demonstrable coaching experience.
- Keen interest in behavioural economics/social science/psychology.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly and to travel across the UK as required.

Educational Background:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is preferred, however not essential.
- Certifications related to financial Planning or business consultancy are advantageous.
- Evidence of training development/coaching competencies/project management.

- Conflict Management: Capable of aligning and mediating needs and objectives to achieve the best outcome for retail clients, member firms, and Quilter.
- Resource Design: Proficient in creating, designing, implementing, and evolving materials and resources for wider team and business use, with effective handover processes.
- Ethical Awareness: Committed to maintaining confidentiality, managing personal biases, and balancing the needs and interests of clients, member firms, and Quilter.
