We are recruiting for an experienced, confident and customer focussed HR Adviser to support the provision of professional HR advice, guidance, and expertise to divisionally aligned areas within NHS Resolution. You will work professionally with all staff, in particular Service Leads, Team Leaders, and Corporate Services.
With your generalist HR background, you will partner with the HR Business Partner and the HR Advisory team to manage ER cases, policy reviews, workforce metrics, Job Evaluations and undertake ad-hoc HR related projects, as and when required. You will be able to work well in a team and have the ability to manage your own workload.
Main duties of the job
- Providing a comprehensive, professional, high quality, pro-active and efficient HR customer focussed service to NHS Resolution which enables the successful delivery of the NHS Resolution Business Plan and HR Strategy to designated services.
- Providing specialist HR advice and guidance to employees at all levels on the interpretation and application of Terms and Conditions of Employment for NHS and NHSR, Job Evaluations, HR & OD Policies and Procedures.
- To manage ER casework such as sickness absence management, performance management, disciplinary, grievance, probation.
- Reviewing and completing analytical reports and Job Evaluations subject to already being trained in NHS evaluations/Matching or be willing to be trained.
- Providing support to the HR Business Partner and Head of HR on HR projects or initiatives (e.g. Change Management Programmes, Annual Staff Survey).

Person Specification
Experience Essential
- Proven broad experience in a generalist HR Adviser role or comparable level
- Effective IT, numeracy, and data analytical skills with the ability to analyse HR metric data and provide expert analysis and benchmarking
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to influence, persuade and demonstrate a flexible approach to deliver a high-quality service with tact and diplomacy
- Proven ability to create and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, staff, managers, and staff side partners
- Previous experience of providing HR advice to staff at all levels and supporting Change Management programmes and ER cases
- Able to demonstrate up to date knowledge and understanding of current Employment Law and trends in HR best practice
- Previous experience of working in an NHS Environment or public sector is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to influence, persuade and demonstrate a flexible approach to deliver a high-quality service with tact and diplomacy.

Qualifications Essential
- Degree level Education or Equivalent
- CIPD qualified to Post Graduate diploma level with experience of providing advice on employment related issues.
