The role

As a Commercial Finance Analyst at EEI, your role will be critical in shaping the commercial strategy for our bidding processes. You will ensure that our approach is both competitive and sustainable, aligning with the company’s corporate objectives. Your skills in commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and risk management are essential in winning new business opportunities and enhancing financial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the commercial aspect of bids.
  • Work closely with the finance and operational teams to construct accurate bid budgets and compelling financial proposals.
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies and models based on thorough analysis of market trends, competitor analysis, payment mechanism and cost factors.
  • Ensure all bids are financially robust and compliant with internal guidelines.
  • Ensure that contract terms protect the company’s interests, minimize risk, and promote revenue growth.
  • Identify potential commercial risks in bids and contracts.
  • Serve as a commercial liaison between BD, finance, legal, and project management teams to ensure a cohesive approach to all bids and contracts.
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and customer insights to adapt bid strategies accordingly.

The Person

We are interested in individuals with a proven track record of commercial analysis within a business-to-government context.

Success in this role requires a robust understanding of contract law and regulations pertinent to business-to-government contracting.

Essential to this position are excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with strong teamwork skills and experience in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels and proficiency in MS Office or equivalent software.
