The role
We have big ambitions to deliver secure, large-scale and highly reliable systems to our clients by building platforms through code and automation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Technology team. Our ambition is for our Engineers to operate on a rotational basis between the core Platform Engineering squad and other Engineering squads to support us to leverage the Guild component of our practice and drive best practices across the entire organisation.
The core Platform Engineering team look after the underlying AWS platform, building out tooling and enablement. DevOps engineers within the Engineering Squads will own the full technology stack from AWS, EKS, to Observability onboarding of the applications.
What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities in this role will include (but not be limited to):
- Build out platform services, leveraging infrastructure code
- Build automation pipelines to automate the deployment of code
- Work in a team to build out the Cloud platform
About You
What you’ll need
Essential
- Working with Cloud within an Enterprise or including highly-secure and governed environments
- Good working knowledge of AWS
- Experience with: Docker or Containerisation, Terraform, CI/CD pipeline automation
- 3+ years experience in AWS
- Experience working with EKS
Good To Have
- Docker or microservice SDLC experience
- AWS networking knowledge will be beneficial
- Experience of Agile ways of working
- Experience working in a payments organization or financial services
- SRE experience will be beneficial
